Drivers and the LawThe law of the road is laid out in the Highway code. It is clearly written and you should be aware of what you can and cannot do when you are driving on the road. You will be tested on it when you come to take your driving test. It not only tells you the rules you must obey on the road, but also contains useful advice on driving. You must respond to parking, congestion charge and speeding offence communications to you straight away. Don’t wait, don’t think it will go away – it won’t! The problem can only get bigger and more expensive! The best laid plans can go awry. If you find yourself with a problem the first thing is not to panic! There are sources of information and help available to you. Love My Car can recommend Geoffrey Miller solicitors who have more than 20 years experience in dealing with motoring offence cases. For instance they have an excellent advice kit called “Fight a Motoring Ticket”. The kit covers all sorts of motoring offences: parking; speeding; alcohol-related; and careless and dangerous driving offences .This kit can help you help yourself – it is not intended to replace legal advice, but it means that if you think you have been unfairly accused of a motoring offence you will understand how to object to the accusation, what the terminology means and what the process is to make your objection to the motoring offence you have been accused of. Additionally Geoffrey Miller solicitors can provide a VIP service whereby you can get direct access to their Managing Partner (Jeanette Miller) 24hours a day/ 7 days a week to give you legal assistance. You may want to consider this – it would provide you with legal back-up if you find yourself in a difficult legal situation. |
